Night is Day at the Glasgow Film Festival 2012

Silly Wee Films' first feature film, "Night is Day", a Scottish sci-fi superhero film, which was produced by Goldray Productions, Andrew Dougall Films and CineMates, has been chosen to premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival in February.

Scottish Feature Films - Movie Making in Scotland

Silly Wee Films has just finished filming its first ever feature film, "Night is Day - The Movie", which has now entered post production. The superhero action film was shot on a shoe-string budget with actors including Elaine C Smith, Simon Weir, Colin McCredie and Tiger Tim Stevens MBE.

We hope that Night is Day will be released next Summer, taken on a tour of Scotland and the UK for movie buffs, sci-fi and comic book fans to come and see the movie before we seek distribution.

Silly Wee Films believes that low budget filmmaking has a place in the market and we will strive to make a film every year in Scotland. To find out more please contact us. Night is Day - Superhero Sci-Fi Series

"Night is Day" is the on-going production from Silly Wee Films. Originally a short film in 2005, "Night is Day" is a self-funded low budget superhero story set in Glasgow, following the adventures of a Glaswegian superhero, Jason Mackenzie.

Inspired by the likes of Doctor Who, Angel and Spider-Man, series 1 was available to view on the web before the SKY TV channel "Propeller TV" featured it on their channel. Series 1 is now available on DVD while series 2 is currently in post-production.
