Sponsoring "Night Is Day: The Movie"



We are currently in post-production of our superhero film in Scotland called “Night is Day – The Movie”, which is the first full-length feature from Silly Wee Films, Goldray Productions, FKOne Productions and Artist Media Ltd.

It follows the adventures of Jason Mackenzie (Chris Summers) as he fights to find the truth about a mysterious entity known as The Caillech (Catriona Joss) who has sworn to wipe out mankind in three days. Along with the F-Division, a secret branch of the police, led by Superintendent Sloan (John Gaffney), Jason will protect an innocent young girl, Lena (Kirsty Anderson) and discover the connection she shares with the Caillech.

Filming took place at weekends between June and August, and we plan to take the film to the film markets and festivals in 2011. The movie is shot in full HD on the latest Sony cameras. Guest stars include Rab C Nesbitt’s Elaine C Smith, Taggart’s Colin McCredie and Highroad star Simon Weir.

The American Film Market

We currently seeking sponsorship to help us raise the necessary funds to take the film to the American Film Market in November 2011. To do so we would like companies to offer sponsorship in return for their logos to be displayed at the end of our 10 minute promo reel of the movie, which will be shown at numerous high-profile events throughout the year.

We'll also add your company's logo to the Night is Day website and the end titles of the final film.

Character Sponsorship

At the moment we are looking to find sponsors to help us raise the budget we have for the film and a way we've come up for doing this is to take 15 characters from the film and have individuals or local businesses sponsor each of them. If you know anybody who would be interested in sponsoring any of the characters listed below for £50 or more then they will get:

• A signed certificate of sponsorship from a member of the cast or crew
• A signed photo of your sponsored character
• Monthly updates on the film’s progress
• A copy of the film on DVD once completed
• A signed “Night is Day – The Movie” promotional postcard
• Product placement where possible
• A credit on the official website
• A credit at the end of the movie
• A link to your website from the official website where applicable.

Here are the characters available for sponsorship, the ones in RED are already sponsored:

1. Superintendent Charles Sloan – The veteran cop who is in charge of a supernatural task force
2. DCI Iain Mullan – Sloan’s number 2; rough around the edges with a mean streak, but his heart is in the right place
3. Inspector Rebecca Munro – Young and a bit naive, yet Rebecca can hold her own in the team with Sloan and Mullan
4. Mr. Philips – A corrupt businessman who is obsessed with the occult and determined to find a way to bring his dead wife back to life.
5. The Caillech – An ancient being that comes back to modern day Glasgow to wipe out the existence of the human race so the world can start again.
6. Lena Dwyre – A young medical student from the highlands training in Glasgow. She is saved by Jason when she is attacked by the Caillech’s soldiers. Has a mysterious connection to the Caillech. 
7. Frank Stone – Mr. Philips’ right hand man – mean, vicious and takes pleasure in eliminating anybody that gets in his way.
8. Alex Mackenzie – Jason’s uncle who was once a superhero like Jason, however he adopts a young boy called Lucas and changes his ways, he is forced to help his nephew when the Caillech overpowers him.
9. Lexi – A mysterious, sexy vampire who Jason turns to when he can’t find the answers that he is looking for.
10. PC Douglas – New to the department, PC Douglas finds himself working with Sloan, Mullan and Rebecca on the case. Is there a spark between him and Rebecca?
11. Young Party Girl – Saved at the start of our movie by our hero Jason, the young party girl is just trying to get home after falling out with her boyfriend and finds herself in terrible danger.
12. Taylor – Mullan’s informant; originally working for Mr. Philips, Taylor goes his own way and manages to help Mullan as the two shared a prison cell together.
13. CS Carlisle – Sloan’s superior and long-time friend, Carlisle does his best to keep the press away from any suspicious supernatural behaviour, which is easy to do when he doesn’t believe it himself.
14. Sara – Lena’s geeky best friend who knows a lot about the rumours and stories of Jason and his activities in the city.
