Been completely swamped with filming "Night is Day" The Movie while prepping the release of series 2 of "Night is Day" the series. We've got 8 days of filming left on the movie between now and the end of August.
Working with Vivace theatre school on script writing services in Glasgow as well as shooting their Summer acting classes in August.
We've been working with various casting agencies providing them with casting tape upload services - editing castings and uploading them to private servers. It's been a blast.
We're now working on iMac's and Final Cut Pro to ensure the highest quality video production for an affordable price.
More music video work on the way as well as editing the Festival 4 Stars Final which was held in the Mitchell Theatre in June.

Filming on "Night is Day - The Movie" is well underway with weekend 1 wrapped. We start again this weekend with cameo scenes from Elaine C Smith to be filmed. Check out the first part of our behind the scenes blog thanks to John G McCall.

The video for the Foster care network is now complete and will be added to our showreel in a few weeks.
We have been commissioned to work on a 2nd music video for the Reggae band "Man at the Window" this Summer as well as filming a promotional video for The Scottish Blues Brothers in July.
Filming on our debut feature film "Night is Day - The Movie" starts on the 5th of June, starring Chris Summers, Tam Toye, John Gaffney, Steven McEwan, Elaine C. Smith and Colin McCredie, we hope to release the film next summer. You can watch an exclusive trailer here.

We've been commissioned to film a showreel for the Vivace Theatre School in August. We look very much forward to working with the educators and students on creating a new promotional video for the theatre school.
Last week we shot a promotional video for the Foster Care Network which we are currently editing. Segments will appear on their official website, creating podcasts to encourage people to become foster carers.
"I Heart You", our 5th short film, has been submitted to several festivals and we hope to be screening the movie this summer.
"Night is Day - The Movie" continues it's pre-production with the 5th and 6th of June marked as our official start date for filming, taking place at weekends until August. We will be holding two promo events shortly to raise the sponsorship funding needed to shoot the film. If you'd like to support the movie in anyway please contact us.

Fraser will be part of a filmmaking distribution at Screen Academy Scotland in Edinburgh on the 6th of May between 2pm and 4pm.

"Night is Day - The Movie" has now confirmed that Elaine C. Smith has joined the cast.
We will be working with the Foster Care Network on their new promotional video to recruit new carers to help them. Filming begins on the 29th of April.

Filmed a music video for Scottish reggae band, "Man at the Window" in Headhunter Studios in Glasgow yesterday. We filmed a video for the track "Every Road" which will be in their forthcoming album.
We hope to work with Man at the Window on a few more videos this year and we hope to be filming their upcoming gig in May.

"Taggart" star Colin McCredie confirms he will take part in "Night is Day - The Movie", playing Taylor, a smart informant of DCI Mullan's, in the film.

We have just been booked to produce videos for Sonic Golf Scotland and Glasgow Regge band, "Man at the Window" this month.

The first readthrough for "Night is Day - The Movie" took place in The Vale Bar last night. You can see the photos at Dougie Coull's Photography site. A new promotional video from the night will be made available in the near future.
We also filmed a promotional film for Inverclyde Phoenix, an American Football team based in Greenock, which will be available to view shortly. Visit their site here.
We will be entering our short film, "I Heart You" in to the film festivals for this year and hopefully our 4th short film, "Hush" as it is being scored at the moment.

After the successful first day auditions for our very first feature film, "Night is Day - The Movie" on Saturday, we were very honoured to film the final performance of "Aladdin" at the Kings Theatre, in Glasgow.
"Aladdin" starred Karen Dunbar, Gerard Kelly, Keith Jack and Gavin Mitchell.

Our 5th short film "I Heart You" is now complete! We will be submitting it to the Scottish Bafta's New Talent Awards this month and then to other festivals around the UK before making it available online to watch.

Happy New Year from Silly Wee Films. After a refreshing break over the holidays, Silly Wee Films will re-open on the 5th of January.
We have a large slate of corporate and promotional video work already confirmed for this year, with more work coming in.
We will be taking our two new short films, "Hush" and "I Heart You", to the festivals in the New Year before releasing "Night is Day" series 2 on DVD in the Spring.
Summer 2010 also sees the filming of our first ever feature film, "Night is Day - The Movie", a stand-alone story that sees our superhero, Jason Mackenzie (Chris Summers), fighting for the human race against an ancient Scottish demon only known as The Caillech. An official website will be launched soon but in the meantime visit our official Facebook page.

"Night is Day: The Movie" is now in pre-production with auditions due to take place in Glasgow over two days in January. We have 19 characters to cast and we are looking for Scottish-based actors. The crew is falling into place and we hope to start filming in June, at weekends until August with a tenative release of Summer 2011. "Hush" and "I Heart You", our two short films from 2009, are now being scored by Steve Dunster and Stuart Torrance respectively. We hope both short films will be completed by Christmas for the cast and crew, and then we will release the films for festivals in 2010.
