Our Story
Formed in 2005, Silly Wee Films has an extensive history, with clients and projects spanning the globe. Our first web series, "Night is Day", concluded with a premiere at 2012’s Glasgow Film Festival before finding its home on Amazon Prime Video. We’ve since expanded our operations to include professional wedding videography. In addition to capturing these special days across Scotland, we now sit comfortably at the forefront of independent Scottish video production.
Our Mission
At Silly Wee Films we’re Scottish through and through. The culture and mythology of the country are part of our DNA. From supporting Scottish creatives to telling stories only the way Scots can, we’re committed to enabling filmmaking in Scotland like no one else has. There’s a power and mystery to the stories told in Scotland that we’re so excited to share with world.
Whether it’s affordable video production, or placing our fairytales centre stage, we’re proud supporters of domestic filmmaking: local talent is the core of what we do. At Silly Wee Films our priority is the amazing people pursuing a TV or film career in Scotland. We’re always interested in connecting with and supporting Scottish filmmakers at any stage of their journey.
