"Faithful" wins big at Sykehouse Film Festival

Our award winning Scottish fairytale short film "Faithful" scooped FIVE awards at the Sykehouse Film Festival in May 2026.


The film won BEST SHORT FILM, BEST FANTASY/HORROR SHORT, BEST NEWCOMER FOR LILY MCGUIRE, JOINT SILVER BEST DIRECTOR FOR LUCY LINGER AND BRONZE BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR FOR GARY HOLLYWOOD.


"Faithful" previously won BEST SCREENPLAY at the British Short Film Awards in 2025 and has played at film festivals worldwide, securing Oscars qualification for 2026 after a week long run at the Shorts by the Sea Festival in Santa Monica.



We have also previously shown the film at San Diego Comic Con and WonderCon in California. The film is also due to be a part of the Comic Con International Independent Film Festival later in July.


"Faithful" stars Lily McGuire, Greg McHugh, Kimberley Nixon, Gary Hollywood, Ethan Docherty and Juliet Cadzow. Directed by Lucy Linger. Written and produced by Fraser Coull of Silly Wee Films, produced by Valerie Andrews.
